Howard Dean...
...has done a lot of reckless things. (But I DON'T count "the scream" as being one of them- I think that was an admirable display of passion that was abused by Dean's detractors.)
However, his recent comments on abortion are some of the most enlightened and hopeful remarks I've heard from the Democratic Party in a long time.
This is a Party that can win elections.
Nicely done.

The words "howard dean" and "can win elections" don't fit in general, but I'm surprised you're so encouraged by Dean's attempt to reach out to the pro-life crowd.
This is the same kind of posturing that Hilary Clinton did when she turned on my industry, and it disgusts me.
Why is it that the right can rant and rave and target their most extreme voters, and the left is so afraid to do the same?
The democratic party has no balls. This is the same kind of middle-of-the-road crap that Kerry pulled and it didn't work. There's already one conservative party, we don't need two.
